PAAKMAN IS COMING TO CAVO THIS AUGUST

Tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Ernis, but I’m also known as Paakman. I was born in a small town in Albania and currently live in Tirana, the capital. Paakman is a DJ, producer, and, above all, a lover of music in all its forms.

How would you describe your sound and artistic identity right now?

The music I create and play is a blend of Afro House and Melodic House, but there’s always a strong groove running through every beat. I’m always trying to make my music both club- and festival-friendly, while keeping my own identity within the sound.

What inspired you to start your journey as a DJ and producer?

I started DJing when I was a kid. I used to play at school parties in my hometown, and that passion grew year after year as I wanted to become better and better. When I was 19, I realised that being only a DJ wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to express myself through my own music, so I decided to start producing.

What’s your approach when creating a new track?

For me, creating a track as a producer is the easy part. Creating a really great track that people can connect with is something completely different. It requires an emotional shift, and I have to use that emotion to my advantage. At the end of the day, music is all about emotions.

Who are some artists that have influenced your sound?

I would say David Guetta and Hugel are two artists who inspire me to stay consistent and hardworking at every moment. But the sound I’m really loving at the moment comes from my favourite duo, RBØR.

What has been a standout moment in your career so far?

I’ve had many special moments throughout my journey. Since releasing my track “OK!”, everything started to change. Then my next release, “Day n Night,” confirmed my presence as an artist internationally.

But if I had to point to one peak moment, it would be 8 August 2026, when I played at UNTOLD Festival for the first time. It was an amazing feeling and a moment I’ll never forget.

What’s next for Paakman? Any upcoming releases or goals?

Oh yes, definitely! I’m very excited because I have a big release coming up with a very famous singer from the Middle East — someone you all know — but let’s keep it a secret for the moment, haha.

I also have another release coming with one of the pioneers of Afro House. I’m so, so excited about what’s coming next.

Are you looking forward to playing in the UAE? Have you been here before?

Definitely. It’s not my first time in the UAE, and I can’t wait to be back again.

I’ve received so much love from the UAE, and it always feels amazing to be welcomed with that kind of energy. I’m really looking forward to coming back and sharing my music with everyone there.
