REKORDBOX LAUNCHES NEW STUDIO PLAN TO BRIDGE DJING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION

rekordbox has introduced a new Studio Plan designed to make the move from DJing into music production more accessible, launching a new integration with music production software company Bitwig.

The new plan brings a digital audio workstation (DAW) into the rekordbox ecosystem, allowing DJs to take music from their existing library and move it directly into a production environment for editing, remixing and creating original tracks.

Created in collaboration with Bitwig, the Studio Plan is designed as a bridge between selecting and mixing music and producing it.

Rather than starting from scratch with an entirely separate workflow, DJs can use their existing rekordbox music library within the production process, opening up the possibility of reworking tracks, creating edits and developing original productions using music they already know from their sets.

The integration could be particularly useful for DJs looking to expand into production without immediately navigating an entirely unfamiliar setup, bringing the two sides of electronic music creation closer together.

According to AlphaTheta, the aim is to allow users to develop their production skills naturally and eventually create their own remixes and original tracks to incorporate back into their DJ sets.

The new Studio Plan is available through rekordbox, with further details available via AlphaTheta and rekordbox.
