THE CHAINSMOKERS AND THE SCRIPT TO CLOSE YASALAM AFTER-RACE CONCERTS IN ABU DHABI

The Chainsmokers and The Script have been announced as the closing acts for the Yasalam After-Race Concerts, with both set to perform at Etihad Live on Sunday, December 6, following the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 season finale.

The double-headliner show will round off four days of racing and entertainment in Abu Dhabi, taking the energy from the final chequered flag into one last night of live music as part of the Yasalam presented by e& entertainment programme.

GRAMMY Award-winning duo The Chainsmokers, made up of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, have become one of the biggest crossover electronic acts in the world, blending elements of pop, indie, electronic, alternative and rock.

Their catalogue includes global hits such as Closer, Don’t Let Me Down, Paris and Something Just Like This, with the duo accumulating billions of streams and performing on some of the world's biggest stages.

Following an appearance on Tomorrowland's main stage earlier this year, the duo will bring their high-energy live show to Abu Dhabi for the final night of race week.

Joining The Chainsmokers are multi-platinum Irish band The Script, bringing a very different live sound to the closing celebrations.

With a career spanning almost two decades, the band has built an international following through tracks including Hall of Fame, Breakeven and The Man Who Can't Be Moved, alongside sold-out performances at arenas around the world.

Their newly released album, The User's Guide To Being Human, marks the latest chapter for the band, who will bring their signature emotionally driven songwriting and live performance to Etihad Live.

David Powell, Chief Portfolio & Strategy Officer at Ethara Live, said Sunday night at Yasalam has become an important part of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experience, bringing thousands of fans together following the final race.

“There is nothing quite like Sunday at the Yasalam After-Race Concerts,” he said. “The excitement of the final race carries straight into Etihad Live, where thousands of fans come together for the F1 season finale celebration.”

Powell added that pairing The Chainsmokers with The Script will give fans “two completely different live experiences” to finish the weekend.

The Chainsmokers and The Script join an already stacked programme of international artists confirmed for this year's Yasalam After-Race Concerts.

Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson will perform on Thursday, December 3, while Imagine Dragons will headline on Saturday, December 5.

More global artists are still to be announced, including further additions to the race week's entertainment programme.

Access to the Yasalam After-Race Concerts is exclusive to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders.

Fans can also purchase Golden Circle upgrades, offering guaranteed concert access and the opportunity to get closer to the stage for each performance.

With more artists still to be revealed, the 2026 edition is shaping up to deliver another major weekend of music alongside the Formula 1 season finale when the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix returns this December.
