VISION HOSPITALITY ACQUIRES BLA BLA DUBAI, EXPANDING ITS FOOTPRINT IN THE UAE NIGHTLIFE SCENE
The McGettigan’s group moves into one of Dubai’s most iconic beachside venues.
Dubai’s nightlife and hospitality scene is set for a significant shake-up as Vision Hospitality, the group behind the globally recognised McGettigan’s, has agreed to acquire Bla Bla Dubai, one of the city’s most established and high-volume lifestyle destinations.
Located at The Beach, JBR, Bla Bla has become a cornerstone of Dubai’s social and nightlife circuit since its launch, known for its expansive, multi-concept offering that spans a beach club, restaurants, rooftop bars, karaoke spaces and its flagship nightclub, The Tent. Over the past five years, the venue has welcomed more than two million guests, hosting large-scale concerts and high-energy events that have cemented its reputation as a go-to destination for both residents and visitors.
Under the new agreement, Vision Hospitality has resumed operational control of the venue, which will now operate as Bla Bla by McGettigan’s. The move marks a major expansion of the group’s entertainment portfolio, reinforcing its presence within Dubai’s competitive nightlife and leisure market.
Speaking on the acquisition, founder and CEO Dennis McGettigan described Bla Bla as “one of the most ambitious and dynamic hospitality platforms in the region,” highlighting the venue’s scale, beachfront location and proven track record as key factors behind the decision. The group’s immediate focus will be on enhancing operations and elevating the entertainment offering, while continuing to invest in the overall guest experience.
For Bla Bla founder Steve Taylor, the transition represents a natural next step. After building the venue into one of Dubai’s most recognisable lifestyle brands, he noted that the time was right to hand over the reins to a group capable of scaling the concept further while preserving its identity and culture.
Despite the change in ownership, the core DNA of the venue is expected to remain intact. Vision Hospitality has confirmed plans to retain Bla Bla’s signature beach club atmosphere and diverse programming, while introducing strategic partnerships and curated entertainment to drive its next phase of growth.
The acquisition also strengthens Vision Hospitality’s wider expansion strategy, adding to a growing portfolio that includes concepts such as Goose & Gander, 19 Sixty-Four wine bar and Coffee Box, alongside its flagship McGettigan’s venues across the region and beyond.
With further announcements expected in the coming weeks, the move signals a new chapter not only for Bla Bla, but for Dubai’s evolving nightlife ecosystem — where scale, experience and programming continue to define the next generation of entertainment destinations.
