8 ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVALS KEEPING SUMMER GOING INTO AUTUMN 2026

Think festival season ends when August does? Think again. As Europe's traditional summer circuit begins to wind down, electronic music is moving into a new season of destination events stretching across September, October and November.

From the Adriatic coastline and an Essex countryside rave to ancient Egyptian landmarks and the mountains of Sinai, these festivals are giving electronic music fans plenty of reasons to keep travelling long after summer starts to fade.

EXIT TO MONTENEGRO — AUGUST 28–31.

The EXIT story continues in Montenegro, where the festival has relocated part of its operation following its departure from Serbia. Taking over Bečići Beach in Budva, the four-day event is expected to welcome around 22,000 people per day, with a programme spanning techno, house and Afro house.

Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou, HUGEL and Enrico Sangiuliano lead the electronic line-up, while John Newman will debut a new live show and Romanian trio RPR Soundsystem also join the bill.

APPETITE ON THE FARM — AUGUST 29–30.

For those looking for an end-of-summer festival within easy reach of London, Appetite On The Farm returns to Kelvedon Hall in Essex for its fifth edition. Around an hour outside the capital, the independent festival has built a reputation around underground house, minimal and UK garage.

This year's line-up features Jamie Jones, SG Lewis, Skream, Eliza Rose, MJ Cole, Shanti Celeste, Traumer, Saoirseand Todd Edwards, bringing together established names and underground favourites across two days.

FORT X FESTIVAL — SEPTEMBER 5

A newcomer to the European festival calendar, Fort X Festival is heading to the grounds of Mokrice Castle in Sloveniafor its debut edition. Limited to just 2,000 people, the event will transform the 15th-century fortress and surrounding woodland into an intimate electronic music setting.

Created by the teams behind Kala and Snowboxx, Fort X has already confirmed Âme, Dixon, Maceo Plex, Nic Fanciulli, Jimi Jules, Butch and Aney F.

ONE LAST SUMMER DANCE — SEPTEMBER 11–13

The name says it all. Yard Portugal is giving the season one final send-off with three days of music in the White Sands Mountains.This year's edition sees Yard collaborate with The Moment, the Copenhagen festival concept founded by WhoMadeWho, adding an international element to its desert-like Portuguese setting.WhoMadeWho will headline with a live performance, with more artists still to be announced.

BEONIX FESTIVAL — SEPTEMBER 25–27

While much of Europe begins cooling down, Cyprus is keeping the summer energy alive.BEONIX Festival returns to Limassol for three days of electronic music inside a restored industrial winery, bringing together techno, house and melodic sounds.

The 2026 line-up includes Adam Beyer, CamelPhat, Bedouin, Benny Benassi, Jan Blomqvist, Monolink and Patrick Mason, with Cyprus' beaches offering an easy way to turn the festival into a longer island escape.

EXIT'S STARLIGHT FESTIVAL — OCTOBER 8–11

Few electronic music festivals can compete with this backdrop.EXIT heads to Egypt for the debut edition of Starlight Festival, taking over the Great Pyramids of Giza for four days of music across multiple stages.

Expected to attract around 15,000 people per day, the festival has secured a heavyweight electronic line-up featuring Adriatique, Michael Bibi, Charlotte de Witte, Indira Paganotto, Pete Tong and Vintage Culture.

With one of the world's most recognisable landmarks towering behind the stages, Starlight is shaping up to be one of autumn's most visually spectacular festival experiences.

BATELEUR FESTIVAL — OCTOBER 22–25

Bateleur Festival takes the boutique festival experience in a more intimate direction, taking over an entire five-star resort in Elounda, Crete.Limited to only 500 guests, the four-day event combines house music with wellness sessions and workshops, including Pilates, meditation and sound healing.

New York house veteran Dennis Ferrer leads the musical programme alongside Rafael and OMRI., with further artists still to be announced.

ZAMNA FESTIVAL — NOVEMBER 20–22

Festival season stretches all the way into November as Zamna Festival returns to Khoroum Valley in Sharm El Sheikhfor its second Egyptian edition.

Expanding to a capacity of 20,000, the festival brings Zamna's signature melodic techno and Afro house sound to a natural sandstone amphitheatre surrounded by the Sinai mountains.

The line-up includes Sasha & John Digweed, Mind Against, Korolova, MRAK, Mëstiza and SHIMZA, bringing three days of electronic music to one of the most distinctive settings on the autumn calendar.

FESTIVAL SEASON ISN'T OVER YET

From the final weekends of August on Europe's beaches to a November rave surrounded by the Sinai mountains, the idea of a clearly defined "festival season" is becoming increasingly difficult to pin down.

Warmer destinations, international festival brands and increasingly ambitious locations are pushing electronic music events well beyond the traditional European summer calendar.

For anyone not quite ready to call time on festival season, autumn 2026 still has plenty left on the dancefloor.
