ALPHATHETA LAUNCHES XDJ-AN TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN HOME AND CLUB

AlphaTheta has introduced the XDJ-AN, a new two-channel all-in-one DJ system designed to make the transition from home setups to professional club equipment feel more natural.

The new unit combines a layout inspired by professional booth setups with support for streaming services, cloud-based music libraries, USB drives and DJ software, giving DJs multiple ways to access and perform with their music.

One of the main ideas behind the XDJ-AN is familiarity. While many DJs begin learning on controllers, moving onto industry-standard club equipment can require adapting to an entirely different workflow.

The XDJ-AN aims to reduce that gap with a layout influenced by AlphaTheta's CDJ-3000X and DJM series mixers, giving developing DJs experience with controls and workflows closer to those they may encounter in professional venues.

The system also works with rekordbox for Mac and Windows, alongside Serato DJ Lite and Serato DJ Pro, allowing DJs to choose a setup that works around their existing software.

The XDJ-AN places a major focus on how DJs now discover and access music.

The system supports music from Apple Music, Beatport, TIDAL and Spotify, alongside traditional USB playback and music stored through rekordbox.

Its Info Search feature can also help users discover related tracks by searching for an artist or album across large music catalogues.

Cloud integration goes further with rekordbox Cloud Library Sync, allowing prepared playlists to be synchronised rather than manually transferring files between devices. Support for music stored through Dropbox is included, while Google Drive support is planned for a future update.

A large touchscreen provides access to browsing and library management features directly from the unit.

The XDJ-AN also includes a built-in SonicLink transmitter, AlphaTheta's wireless audio technology designed for low-latency monitoring.

When paired with compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10, DJs can monitor their sets wirelessly, with latency stated to be as low as 9 milliseconds.

Connectivity includes XLR and RCA outputs, while Bluetooth input further expands the ways external audio can be incorporated into the setup.

Rather than positioning the XDJ-AN solely as an entry-level controller, AlphaTheta is targeting DJs looking for a system that can sit between home practice and more advanced professional setups.

With club-inspired controls alongside streaming, cloud connectivity, wireless monitoring and multiple music sources, the XDJ-AN reflects how DJ workflows are increasingly moving beyond locally stored music libraries.

The AlphaTheta XDJ-AN is priced at €1,149 including VAT in Europe and $1,099 before tax in the US.
