FEEL THE HEAT AS HOT OASIS RETURNS TO CAVO

Tell us a bit about Hot Oasis?

My name is Mostafa, also known as Hot Oasis. I’m an Egyptian-British DJ and producer currently based in London. I’ve been active in the music industry since 2006, focusing on downtempo, electronica, organic house, afro house, and indie dance.

How would you describe your sound and artistic identity right now?

My sound is deeply inspired by the peaceful spirit of South Sinai and the connection between nature, spirituality, and electronic music. I blend downtempo, organic house, afro house, indie dance, and melodic electronic elements with Arabic melodies, organic textures, and hypnotic grooves.

As Hot Oasis, my artistic identity is about creating immersive and emotional journeys — music that feels both earthy and psychedelic, designed for sunsets, deep dance floors, and meaningful moments. I’m constantly exploring the balance between Middle Eastern influences and modern electronic production to create a sound that feels timeless, organic, and emotionally honest

What inspired you to start your journey as a DJ and producer?

I started DJing in Alexandria in 2005, and later moving to Dahab completely shaped my artistic vision. Playing at Tree Bar and being surrounded by travelers, artists, and the underground scene inspired me to develop my own sound and eventually move into music production. Producing music became a way for me to express my roots, emotions, and experiences through organic and melodic electronic music.

What’s your approach when creating a new track?

My approach to creating music always starts with a feeling or a mood. I believe emotion is the most important element in a track, which is why I naturally connect with both downtempo and uptempo music. Sometimes I’m inspired by calm and atmospheric moments, and other times by energy and movement.

I usually begin with melodies, textures, or organic sounds that create a certain atmosphere, then build the groove around that emotion. For me, every track should tell a story and take the listener on a journey, whether it’s for deep listening, sunsets, or the dance floor.

What has been a standout moment in your career so far?

One of the standout moments in my career has been seeing my music connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds around the world. Playing festivals such as Chill O’posite Festival, UNUM Festival, Sandbox Festival, Garden of Babylon Festival, and Bucht der Träumer in Germany has been incredibly special, as these events truly represent the spirit of freedom, art, and underground electronic music that inspires me.

Another important milestone was launching Bayati Records and creating a platform to support Middle Eastern electronic artists and sounds internationally. It feels meaningful to represent my roots through music while building a global community around it.

What’s next for Hot Oasis, any upcoming releases or goals?

There’s a lot coming next for Hot Oasis. I’m currently working on multiple EPs and collaborations that explore different sides of my sound, from downtempo and organic house to more energetic indie dance and afro-influenced grooves.

I also have upcoming releases on respected international labels, including Sol Selectas, while continuing to grow my own label, Bayati Records, through new music and showcase events across cities like Berlin, London, Dubai, Egypt, and Amman.

My main goal is to keep building a unique musical identity that connects Middle Eastern influences with modern electronic music, while expanding internationally through festivals, club performances, and meaningful collaborations.

Are you looking forward to playing in the UAE, have you been here before?

Absolutely. I’ve played in the UAE before, and every experience has been special. The region has a unique energy and a fast-growing electronic music scene.

I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and sharing my sound there again. I feel there’s a strong connection between my music and the atmosphere of the UAE, especially through its mix of cultures, art, and appreciation for organic and melodic electronic music.

So head to Cavo on Sat 13th June, where music, energy, and atmosphere come together for an unforgettable night. Designed for those who live for the sound, this immersive experience features deep grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and captivating house beats from Bazz Key, Qtee Rue, and Taina.
