NOVATION EXPANDS ITS MK4 RANGE WITH THE NEW LAUNCHKEY 88 MIDI CONTROLLER

Novation has expanded its popular Launchkey MK4 lineup with the introduction of the Launchkey 88, the largest MIDI controller in the series to date.

Designed for producers, composers and live performers, the new controller builds on the capabilities of the existing Launchkey 49 and Launchkey 61, while introducing a full-size 88-key layout that offers greater flexibility for players who prefer a traditional piano-style experience.

The Launchkey 88 features 88 semi-weighted keys, spanning more than seven octaves, making it Novation's most comprehensive Launchkey controller yet. The expanded keyboard is aimed at musicians who require a wider playing range without sacrificing the workflow-focused features the MK4 series has become known for.

The controller also offers deep integration with a range of major digital audio workstations, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig and Ardour, allowing users to control their software directly from the keyboard.

Alongside its expanded keybed, the Launchkey 88 includes a suite of creative tools designed to streamline music production and songwriting.

Features such as Scale Modes help producers stay in key while performing, while Chord Map Mode makes it easier to create harmonically rich progressions without extensive music theory knowledge.

The controller also retains many of the standout features found across the MK4 range, including 16 velocity-sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch, ideal for finger drumming and clip launching, as well as nine assignable faders for hands-on control of software instruments, effects and mixing.

With the Launchkey 88, Novation continues to strengthen its position in the MIDI controller market, offering producers and performers a versatile full-size keyboard that combines traditional piano-style playability with modern production tools.
