WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GLITTERBOX DANCER
We caught up with Jasmine before she leaves Dubai for the season in Ibiza
How long have you been a professional dancer?
My dance training started back when I was only 2 years old but I've been a professional dancer for almost ten years now! I did my first ever professional gig when I was just 17.
How did you end up dancing for Glitterbox?
After 8 years of dancing in the UK professionally I decided I'd reached my limit on what I could achieve and knew I needed to take it to the next level. I've always loved Ibiza so I decided to spontaneously book a two week holiday to visit my friends who were doing the season out there (at this point had no intention of going there to work) but after being there less than 24hrs I was given the opportunity to dance for Defected!! At their Cafe Mambo pre party then onto Eden which is where their residency was at the time. I honestly couldn't believe it and I was in my absolute element. That year I continued flying in and out working for Defected which then led to me dancing for one of my dream parties Glitterbox. The rest is history! It was a crazy whirlwind of a year and I owe a huge thank you to one very special person, Leah for giving me the platform to show what I do best.
What's been the best event you've danced at and why?
This is a tough one! Its so hard to choose because I dance across so many amazing venues and parties and they are all so unique in their own way. Up there at the top has to be Glitterbox, Defected, Metamorfosi and He She They but alongside are the amazing venues like Hi Ibiza, Amnesia & Cafe Mambo.

You must have to stay fit for this profession, is there any specific fitness regime you follow?
I try my best to keep fit over winter seasons when dance work is less intense but I am really not into the gym, I like to try and use dance as my excuse to avoid it. When it comes to food, I tend to pick healthy options but I am a sucker for McDonalds and sweat treats haha! Then as soon as summer hits we are all so on the go we just have to grab whatever is available & sleep whenever we can!
Do you ever make any of the outfits you wear or have any creative input?
A lot of the parties in Ibiza have the most amazing costume designers, hair stylists and makeup artists, however, there are some parties such as He She They that allow us to bring our own individuality to the party through our looks. I love getting creative making new looks and designs because I design and make costumes myself.
You're about to leave Dubai for Ibiza, what's the 2025 season got in store for you?
I cannot believe its almost that time again! The 2025 season is going to be a crazy season because there are so many changes this year along with the new Hyperclub opening 'UNVRS'. I'm more excited than ever and I can't wait to announce what I have lined up this year!!
